SPRINGFIELD F.C AWARDED CHARTER STANDARD STATUS After many months of hard work and effort we are pleased that on 20th November 2006 Springfield Football Club was awarded the status of a Charter Standard Club by the Football Association. This is an important step for the club as we try to develop and improve the facilities available to all levels of footballers within the Springfield area. The award shows recognition by the FA that Springfield Football club is striving to meet the highest level of running a football club and developing grassroots football in all areas. Our status as both a Youth and Adult club proves that Springfield values its Youth base as much as it's senior side. Benefits of being a Charter Standard Club include increased funding opportunities, in-house training events and reduced prices on Essex FA Coaching courses. In addition it shows that Springfield strives to provide a safe environment for all youths to enjoy and improve their football skills. We also hope that as a Charter Standard Club we will be able to attract the best players from the area which can only help to improve the clubs profile in the community. Look out for the Charter Standard logo which can now be used by Springfield F.C on any club communications or kits ! Now that we have reached this target we do not aim to become complacent and through holding coaching courses at our own clubhouse and improving communications with the local community we are aiming in the not to distant future to begin the process of applying for Community Club status - the highest award for a club ! If you are interested in attending a coaching and or refereeing course or would like more details on Child Protection or First Aid courses.
